Anne L. Messenger, SPHR, President, and a recognized career strategist, has practiced in the field of human resources for 20 years. Prior to starting MAI in 1997, Ms. Messenger was a marketing executive at DBM, the world's leading career services firm. Before DBM, she managed outplacement centers for Lockheed Martin and headed a career development design team for 2200 employees in the company's Syracuse division. Previously, she was Executive Director of the Syracuse-Onondaga County Private Industry Council (PIC), an oversight body for federal job training programs.
A Wellesley College graduate, Ms. Messenger has sat on numerous boards including the Human Rights Commission, the Museum of Science and Technology Foundation, the Onondaga County Water Authority, Leadership Greater Syracuse, the United Negro College Fund, the United Way and the Wellesley College Alumnae Association. A past board chair of Onondaga Community College and Syracuse Stage, she is currently Chairman of the CNY Community Foundation, a member of Key Bank's District Advisory Board and a member of the St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center Council of Advisors. Active with the Women Presidents' Organization, she is a founding member of its Syracuse Chapter, and she is a winner of the CNY Business Journal's 2002 Women in Business Award and Syracuse University's 2005 Ann Michel Distinguished Entrepreneur Award for Small Business.
