Stan Wilczek, Jr. recently retired from Niagara Mohawk/National Grid after spending thirty years with the upstate New York utility. He worked in the nuclear division for twenty years designing processes to improve the efficiency and economics of the Nine Mile Point nuclear plants. As the vice president of Nuclear Support, he managed a staff of over 700 professionals. In 1994, he was appointed vice president of customer service and was responsible for the utilities call centers, billing, collections and metering departments. Under his tenure, customer satisfaction was pushed to historic levels. Mr. Wilczek is currently on the adjunct staff of LeMoyne and Keuka colleges where he teaches statistics and a number of business-related courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. He has also written three novels, the first of which was published in the spring of 2006. A native and lifelong resident of upstate New York, Mr. Wilczek graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, and received an M.B.A. from Syracuse University. He is also a graduate of Harvard’s Advanced Management Program. He currently resides in Liverpool and is working on his next novel which will be out in early 2008.
