William P. Fisher is president and chairman of the board of Summit Software Company, which he co-founded in 1991. Summit Software, headquartered in Jamesville, N.Y., is a privately held software company that develops, markets, and supports software technology that has been licensed by more than 300 software companies around the world, including Microsoft, SAP, and Autodesk. Mr. Fisher has made angel investments in three Central New York companies. He serves on the board of Healthcare One and is chairman and co-founder of CampaignBase.com. A native of Central New York, Mr. Fisher attended Bishop Ludden High School before earning a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. His career in the software business began in 1984 when he purchased a Macintosh computer and launched his first start-up. He serves as a volunteer member of several local boards and committees, including the Greater Syracuse Business Development Corporation, Community General Hospital, and the Yale Club of Central New York.
